Despite being burned by more than half of the new Hulk Series, The Incredible Hulk #600, and hell even the standalone “World War Hulk” issues, I was immediately excited by the few leaked images of the Red She Hulk. In all likelihood, the character and the story arc will be total shit. I realize that, but my enthusiasm’s high regardless. I can only hope Loeb won’t dick around and keep her identity hidden for years. He’s doing that with the Rulk, and it stopped working after the third issue. There are a few interesting possibilities on who the She Rulk will be:

1. Domino – that would be awesome. Granted, I haven’t read an X-Force comic since Mike Allred drew it, but I think that it would make for an interesting character. Not very likely, since introducing a Hulk to the X-universe would probably be a bridge too far.
2. Elektra – God, no. She’s a great character that should’ve stayed dead. The further she moves away from her origins, the worse off. Speaking of the dead…
3. Betty Ross – because she’ll be resurrected sooner or later, its inevitable. It might go far in explaining Gen Ross’s motivation to commit treason.
4. Thundra – I hope not, really really hope not. I never liked the character’s personality, or design. And besides, she already has the “super strength” ing. Seems like a waste.
5. Jennifer Walters – she disappears and She Rulk pops in. Why not? I mean I like the She Hulk, but outside of Dan Slott I haven’t enjoyed any recent writer’s take on the character. 2009 is widely regarded as a full fledged campaign by Marvel to sully the She Hulk, and giving Jen a (more) outgoing persona would further that goal. "
